WHO ARE WE
Work with the latest Technology & active industry professionals
By working with the latest technology, active industry professionals and reputable organisations we can deliver relevant and skill focused projects that encourage social inclusion, participation in learning and employability skills whilst remaining fun and engaging!
With the reduction of government funding for youth programs over the last 10 years, a lack of creative arts programs and an education system putting pressure on teachers – it’s up to us, the creative professionals of Manchester – a city that uses the black and yellow Bee to represent it’s creative and industrial history – to pass on our skills and help pave a path for the future generation.
We launched in March 2017 following a mutual concern for these issues. Prior to this we had built a studio with £5000 worth of equipment and in March raised a further £5000 through our crowdfunding project – half of which was granted by the Arts Council, the other half from members of the public who believe in our idea and wanted to be involved.
Our team is now made up of trained teachers, youth workers and active industry professionals and we have collectively worked on a number of projects alongside local schools, colleges, universities, the BBC, Media Trust, Unity Radio, Beat Bazaar and Capital Xtra to name a few.
This year we launched our creative Summer Sound School alongside Sub-Woofah Records, and have worked on a number of successful and exciting workshops with the local community - with more in the works! We are also offering a number of training opportunities and work experience roles to engage and cultivate our future generation!
